Breast Surgery Faculty
NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, is seeking a dynamic, full-time, entry level/mid-level attending in the Division of Breast Surgery. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills as well as an interest in surgical education. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is interested in being part of a busy and growing practice in Manhattan, New York.
Faculty members within the Division must be committed to the tripartite mission of the department and school of medicine: clinical excellence, education, and innovative research. Faculty members are expected to regularly participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. A commitment to any one of a broad array of research interests is desirable, including but not limited to clinical, outcomes, health services, basic science, translational, ethics, education, or global surgery. In addition, faculty members are expected to participate in collaborative hospital-wide committees. The selected candidates must be team-oriented and be able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division.
Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service, a track record of achievement in their field of expertise, and an interest in fulfilling the common goals of the Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health. Qualified candidates must also:
Hold Board Certification in General Surgery and be eligible for NYS Licensure
Be fellowship-trained in Breast Surgery
Provide clinical care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventative and health care maintenance to patients
Implement and enforce clinical policies with Chief of Breast Surgery, Department Chair, Chief Medical Officer, and other providers to continuously provide high quality, comprehensive patient care
Responsible for supervision of assigned or other advanced practice providers (physician assistants and nurse practitioners) at the clinical site as applicable
Assist with training, orientation and clinical support for new providers, advance practice providers, and clinical support staff
Supervise residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers within division
Provide academic mentorship for all division attendings, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers
Generate and support divisional attending with research objectives. This includes clinical, outcomes, health services, basic science, translational, ethics, education, or global surgery
Foster a professional, collaborative work environment with all team members and colleagues
