Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes.
Essential Job Functions:
Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care
Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements.
Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve
Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events
Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Social Work or related human services degree required;
Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic Computer skills
Valid Drivers license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the field
Must be 21
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $24.00 hourly (rate is determined by education and relatable experience)
