The Senior Capture Manager will serve as the Capture lead within KBRs business development organization. Customers include a broad selection of United States Air Force organizations. The Senior Capture Manager will be responsible for winning new business across the KBR Air Force Programs portfolio to include the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Sustainment Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Institute of Technology, and other USAF Major Commands. You will lead large, prime, full and open opportunities and lead top pursuits across KBR.
This position can be 100% remote, but a remote location near major Air Force customer sites is preferred.
Approximately 20-30% of work time will be on travel to client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBRs growth mission and vision
Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals
Routinely be assigned 2-3 large ($150M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in USAF market
Conceptualize a winning strategy, develop a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes, adjusts the strategy as the procurement unfolds, and drive the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the strategy through final proposal submission
Plan, lead, execute capture activities to include:
Participate in developing a healthy pipeline of new opportunities through customer outreach as well as use of business development intelligence tools.
Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, sources sought responses and other pre-proposal artifacts as assigned
Qualify and assess the win-ability of new opportunities
Develop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customers requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team
Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices
Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal color team reviews
Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts
Apply KBR capture management best practices to each pursuit, including creating and disseminating capture artifactscall reports, B&P budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statements
Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as requested

Required Qualifications:
Security Clearance Requirement: Active SECRET clearance.
Bachelors Degree and a total of 15+ years of experience that includes 6+ years of industry experience and 6+ years of experience in business development or equivalent growth position. Bachelors degree equivalent related experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
Strong network of USAF clients is required.
Must have a demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contracts
Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to understand requirements and craft solutions
Working knowledge of and experience with USAF acquisition organizations
Proven success in the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, program management, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
Demonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions
