Born and raised in Jamaica, Georgia graduated from the University of South Florida in 2014 with a B.A. in Criminology and a Minor in International Studies. Soon after, she worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice helping to empower youth and unleash their full potential.
In 2015, she began law school and became involved in various activities. “My first year at FCSL was not a race, but a marathon,” Georgia said. “You have to push until you reach the finish line.”
Currently interning with the 4th Judicial Circuit, she is a member of FCSL’s Moot Court team and Florida’s Young Lawyers Student Division. Georgia has been a Dean Scholar for her last two semesters, and lives by the principle “Sic Luceat Lux” (Let the light shine).
She plans on becoming a defense attorney, and is the founder of Live on Purpose Movement, an organization designed to inspire those that have been marginalized by society. Georgia is grateful for her mother’s ongoing support throughout her educational career.
The TJ Reddick Bar Association recently awarded Georgia a scholarship during their 2016 gala event (sponsored by FCSL), and she is the first Florida Coastal student to be honored by this organization.
