Coastal Law’s Spring 2016 Commencement Ceremony was held on May 14th, at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Of the 303 graduates, 273 were conferred to Juris Doctor and 40 to LL.M. in U.S. Law and Logistics & Transportation. (full story below)

Ira Coats, Jr., student commencement speaker, reflected on his years at Coastal Law and thanked friends and family for their support on behalf of his fellow graduates.
More than 50% of the J.D. graduates completed 50 or more pro bono hours – more than 28,000 hours in total and the following awards were received:

Michael Huyghue, sports lawyer and president of a Jacksonville-based sports management and consulting agency, was the commencement speaker.

Florida Coastal Law's Practitioner Clinics Florida Coastal Law's Practitioner Clinic is an innovative course offering students a chance
to work closely on pro bono cases with a practicing lawyer. Students are often invited to
work on these cases in the practitioner's office off campus, and the Clinics are offered as
two credits with an evening classroom component.
