Iota Chi Kappa is an organization of Christian women who aspire to bring Christian evangelism and sisterly fellowship to the surrounding community. We are NOT a secret society. Neither do we seek to recruit women through secret ritual. Women join us because they are compelled by the agape love of God and the desire to fellowship with other women who love God and have accepted Him as Lord and Savior. The purpose of this sorority is to be a resource for Christian women in every area of life. We desire to provide educational workshops focused on being a Christian in a secular environment, Bible studies relevant to women desiring to grow in their relationship with Christ, and to build overall relationships with other Christian women across the world. We will provide fellowship activities and training opportunities to participate in.
*DC Metro Area Colony History*
On September 13, 2009, three women- Sorors Apria DeLaney, Jennifer Kellam, and Harolette Jones were inducted into the Elohim Chapter of Iota Chi Kappa Christian Sorority.
On September 21, 2009, Soror DeLaney became the charter member of the D.C. Metro Area Colony and became the founding line. She set to make a difference among Christian women and to minister to the women in the Washington D.C Metro Area. Soror DeLaney worked endlessly to make sure that colony was going to continue to excel the standards of fellowship, relationship, and discipleship. Now she’s on a virtuous mission to seek humble Christian women in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia; to continue to uphold the goals, missions, and values of Iota Chi Kappa Christian Sorority.
