Jackson State defeats Southern 38-13 in SWAC opener (134 hits)
For the seventh straight time, Southern (1-4, 0-1) could not get the job done against Jackson State (3-1, 1-0).
This one played out like last year’s SWAC Championship game. A tight game early on before a big JSU rally courtesy of costly SU mistakes. Southern goes into their second bye week on a three-game losing streak. The Jags look to get back on track at Bethune Cookman on October 11th.
