Millions of dollars are being poured into this charade, and yet, beneath it all, there’s a desperate need to protect white fragility.
These words they throw around—race, racism, racial—are weapons of deceit, crafted to shield the system of white supremacy. They serve to confuse, to distract, and to maintain the very power structures that oppress us.
Understand this: you cannot solve the problem of racial bias in AI—or anywhere else—without first confronting the foundation it rests on: white supremacy. Without naming it, without understanding its origins, and without committing to dismantling it, all these efforts are meaningless.
So, to those of you who truly want to make a difference, who have the resources and the power to act, I say this: the truth is waiting for you. But it’s not hidden. It’s in plain sight, written in the above papers, waiting for the day you’re ready to stop playing games and start doing what’s right.
