October 25, 2024 — HBCU CONNECT is proud to announce the resounding success of our first annual "2024 HBCU CONNECT Fall Virtual Conference & Career Fair," held on October 23rd, connecting thousands of HBCU students, graduates, and diverse talent with top employers. This groundbreaking virtual event, hosted on vFairs, brought together over 5,000 eager job seekers and 72 prominent companies, demonstrating the strong demand for diverse hiring and the enduring value of HBCUs in shaping America’s future workforce.
Event Highlights: - 72 Companies and Over 400 Recruiters: Employers from a range of industries hosted interactive booths, showcasing their commitment to HBCU talent. - More than 3,500 Logins on Event Day: Out of 5,000 registrants, 2,004 unique attendees joined live, demonstrating a significant turnout and enthusiasm. - 6 Professional Development Sessions: Expert-led sessions attracted 2,839 views, covering essential topics like career growth, entrepreneurship, and corporate navigation. - 54,035 Booth Visits: The 72 virtual booths saw an impressive volume of visits, providing attendees invaluable networking and career opportunities. - 1,705 Job Applications: Attendees took full advantage of the job postings, leading to 1,705 applications submitted directly through the platform. - Over 39,200 Chat Messages Exchanged: The live chat function facilitated a dynamic, real-time dialogue between attendees and recruiters, creating meaningful connections and career leads.
