The Sand Wars Bahamas beach flag football tournament has entered its fifth year, turning beautiful beaches and the iconic Beach Soccer Stadium of The Bahamas into battlegrounds. The event hosts teams from all parts of the world. This year, Sand Wars features 13 teams – eight male and five female.

The female championship game featured the Honey Badgers from Nassau, and The Lynx from the Cayman Islands. Both teams put up a good fight, but the Honey Badgers won, scoring 22 against The Lynx’s score of 21.

The male championship game featured the Bamboo Shack Predators of Nassau and the Abaco Sharks. The Predators confirmed their status as champions with a 24-20 win over the Sharks in a closely contested game. This match was something of an athletic display – both teams played hard and with honor.
