You Believe In Your Gun More Than You Do "God." Here's The Proof (584 hits)

It's a new year. We're done with the Denial Diary but not quite with the denial.............

So, I went home for the holidays and spent time with the family. I was flirting with a lady I've known for a while and she basically told me that she was a good Christian woman and she ain't have time for a heathen like me. She always like to play those type of morality games and it's cool, I look beyond it to enjoy her company from time to time. Somewhere in that same conversation however, it was revealed that she had her pistol on her.

Now, here's a woman who's prepared to murder someone, in jesus name, if need be but somehow maintains her balance on this makeshift pillar of morality. She doesn't see the conflict in interest (thou shall not kill for you other part timers). You might think it's wrong for me to say that she loves her gun more than god but where does she put her faith in life or death situations? In the GUN. Why not worship the gun then and stop frontin' is what I want to tell her but again... I try to be the bigger person ya know?

But anyways, I was talking to my one of best potna's and he said something 99% of you say in defense of your gun, "I got kids ya know? I want to protect them." Riiiight. Yo God can't protect them kids??? I didn't tell that to my brother. I wasn't trying to attack his belief but if you said that same weak a** sh*t... and you use this belief as justification to play moral superiority games with others.. I'm attacking your mf slave theology rn.

I haven't carried a gun in 14 years and I was a criminal that ventured across the country multiple times so I'm in position to talk a lil sh*t about this. I put my faith on the line, everyday, playing the game of life on ALL MADDEN. I stopped owning a gun because it's an admission of FEAR, no matter which way you try to rationalize it. You scared of something. I didn't wanna be scared of anything... not even DEATH. This is in tune with my spiritual knowing (I don't need to believe in it anymore).

Now, Please watch the video above, "Thoughts and Prayers" I got the video above from an editor I recently connected with in an article on root cause analysis. Check it out here: https://communicationintelligence.substack...

I didn't get to reply to his query in time but he had some questions in reference to the video above. These were the questions:

1.How effective is this message in getting one's attention if you are not already aligned (in agreement) with its purpose?

2. What do you like best about the message and why do you like it? What could be better and why do you think so?

3. Why do you professionally believe this message has a chance at being persuasive or not persuasive?

Let's answer these shall we:

1. If one is not already aligned with gun control, this message will disappear from their mind 7 minutes maximum after watching. It's thought provoking but the fear of having no gun or perceived "protection" is stronger than just about anything else in this society.

2. What I liked most about the message was the subtle jab at "God". I like it because this same "God" was absent during colonialism and slavery as well. To make the message better, they should stop beating around the bush and "get all the way out there".. They could substitute a white clergyman for the crying mother. It might make a lot of Christians mad. But as my favorite God, Anansi, from the series "American God's" would say, "Anger gets **** done."

3. I personally believe this message has little to no chance at being effective because people trust in they guns, more than they do their "God". They're unwilling to admit it but there would be no America without guns. In the documentary, Bowling for Columbine, Mr. Michael Moore, a white man, asserted that White America is too afraid of retribution for gun control. I think he has a point. The way that europeans conducted themselves in the rape & plunder of the globe during "Colonialism" times is still logged in the collective white society memory bank, no matter how much they try to divorce themselves from the past. The message reads loud and clear, "If we give up our guns... the black and brown people will finally overtake us for our sins."

In conclusion, you're only fooling yourself if you're a gun toting Christian and that denial could be unhealthy. The worst part about this denial is that you do it to uphold a slave theology. White folks believe in guns more than the same "god" they forced us to worship and the rest of you gun toting Christians are no different in keeping up their legacy. No one ever met Jesus because of his mercy and kindness, they always met him through the SWORD or GUN.

Don't ever try to play religious games with me or compare yourself to me period. I'm not on that plantation. I don't care how much money you have or how long you had to kiss white folks a** to get it. I'll be broke and die before I be a slave again. I know my freedom rubs you the wrong way because it only reinforces your mental bondage but I'm not the mf to play with. Especially on the basis of a religion that you know no (relevant) facts about how it was created. Because if you really knew and understood that at the beginning of the Christian religion.. there were people saying that "Jesus" had no human nature and that he was really Serapis Christus and furthermore that these whistleblowers were killed... you wouldn't be believing in this dumb a** sh*t either.
