I don't have any beef with these people so I'm not gone go too hard on them. I'm probably gone go at the NAACP or the Urban League next though. I highly doubt they will reply. Here's the article for review: https://sentinelcolorado.com/metro/2nd-rac...
I don't think I'm wrong at all for asking for a $4 million investment to activate this system. They gave over $500 million for Antiracism, with no plan and it's not working. Giving me $5 million and I have a formula, strategic plan and methodology is a drop in the bucket. Run it.
I’m very concerned for your town. As someone who studies racism white supremacy and modern white supremacist rhetoric, I think you have an alarming situation on hand in response to your article concerning the 2nd racist video by middle school students. The racist statements are closely related to a right wing movement that’s been gaining more and more popularity, the great replacement theory. I have attached a research paper for further understanding. Here are some stats since the antiracism campaign began in 2020:
-Statista.com reports that, “the rate of fatal police shootings among Black Americans was much higher than that for any other ethnicity, standing at 5.9 fatal shootings per million of the population per year between 2015 and January 2023.” -5 of top 30 deadliest mass shootings in the USA happened since 2020 (2 of these shootings have strong resemblances of the Great Replacement Theory) -6 racially motivated shootings this year that resembled the Great replacement Theory
Additionally, these statistics on hate crimes can be verified on the FBI Crime Data Explorer:
-Total hate crimes increased from 9,744 in 2020 to 11,613 in 2022. -Anti-Black hate crimes accounted for 52.57% of race-related hate crimes in 2020, dipped to 49.55% in 2021, and increased to 52.12% in 2022. -The percent increase in total hate crimes was 23.90% from 2019 to 2020, 11.09% from 2020 to 2021, and 7.28% from 2021 to 2022
This is not just a systematic issue within the district, it’s a global concern. Everyone is looking for solutions. My research suggests that counter racism is a viable solution. The temptation is attempting to get white supremacists to be decent citizens. In the article, it said that “Rashad Younger, spokesperson for the Rocky Mountain NAACP said that as of Dec. 12, the organization is still trying to get in contact with the families and wants them to issue a public apology.” History tells us this is an exercise in futility.
From the end of slavery to the modern day, the journey of African Americans has been marked by significant challenges from white unrelenting white supremacists. The period after the abolition of slavery, known as Reconstruction, was a time of hope but also of significant resistance from white supremacists. Despite the legal end of slavery, the attitudes and systems that perpetuated racism persisted. The Jim Crow era followed, enforcing racial segregation and inequality under the guise of "separate but equal." This period was marked by extreme racial discrimination and was far from the promise of equality. Again, white supremacy pressed on. The Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s was a pivotal response to these injustices, leading to significant, albeit incomplete, changes. Landmark legislation aimed to address segregation and voting rights, but the struggle was STILL far from over. The post-Civil Rights era has seen new challenges, such as mass incarceration and racial profiling, which some argue are forms of modern-day slavery. The systemic nature of these issues persists, white supremacy simply adapting to continue its legacy. Today, the phrase "Black Lives Matter" represents a continuation of this long struggle, emphasizing the value of Black lives in a society where racial disparities persist. Maybe begging white folks to act right and apologize is making things worse. This new generation of white supremacists certainly supports the statement.
All problems are solved through root cause analysis. Systemic racism is only the remnants of colonialism, the era of ORIGINAL racism when white men brought death and destruction wherever they went. The dominant society divorces themselves from root cause analysis, leaving us to figure out solutions. Frederick Douglas said that “knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave.” We can apply this to systemic racism. In fact, we can boycott systemic racism with knowledge. We can study racists, understanding them and learning the signs that foretell domestic terrorism. We can study systemic racism, so that we avoid its traps and pitfalls. And once we know and understand it, then we should follow the advice of Arundhati Roy, the Indian activist and author who says, “"Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to tell our own stories."
This is the essence of Planetary Chess, a system I have created to empower the victims of racism white supremacy. I am hopeful that there are corporations and organizations who still want to dismantle systemic racism as over $500 million was donated to Anti-racism efforts, or trying to force white folks not to be racist, to go against the power system created for their benefit. I know that there are some good white folks somewhere that are waiting for a viable solution to America’s original sin. I appreciate your voice in elevating this matter on your esteemed platform.
