The Leader of The Tougaloo Nine, Rev. Dr. Joseph Jackson Jr. has appointed his manager, CEO of Gumbo for the Soul International, Beverly Black, to represent him at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where a documentary will be shown about them and the courageous acts of Medgar Wiley Evers (her Uncle> Wanda Evers), and his leadership in training The Tougaloo Nine in a non-violent library read-in, actions resulting in the history made by them on March 27, 1961.
