From topics as non-threatening as customer service to topics as delicate as race relations, diversity, and inclusion, Maxine L. Bryant has repeatedly captured the hearts and minds of many audiences. She is a very able orator who is well versed in a variety of topics and has presented to diverse audiences across America, in Negril, Jamaica, West Indies; Cairo, Egypt; and Ghana, Africa. Her poetry is a distinct rhythmic blend of alliterated words that captivate the mind, challenge the soul, and calm the spirit. Affectionately known as Mama Blu in Las Vegas, Mama Maxine in New Orleans, and Mama Spitfire in Savannah, Maxine uses her poetry to inspire and instruct, to educate and enlighten, and to embrace her audiences in an exhilarating experience. This author, facilitator, minister, and poet draws upon God-given communication talents and gifts to share words of wisdom and rhyme. Dr. Bryant is a criminal justice professor and Interim Diversity Officer at Georgia Southern University and is a recognized community activist and advocate for persons with criminal histories.
