Last Monday, the world watched as 45 year-industry veteran actress of TV, film, and stage - and 1999 host for Morehouse's annual "Candle in The Dark Gala" - Sheryl Lee Ralph was awarded her first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the new and instantly beloved series by Abbott Elementary.

Ralph’s memorable acceptance speech inspired many including Kara Walker, the Executive Director of Morehouse’s Human Rights Film Festival.

Kara Walker joins On Topic to discuss the importance of actors and filmmakers never abandoning their dreams and to detail the upcoming Morehouse Human Rights Film Festival taking place on campus Sept. 20- 24th.
