On the occasion of Spelman's 141st Founders Day, President Mary Schmidt Campbell, Ph.D., facilitated a candid conversation with Erin Johnson Tolefree C’2001, president of Baldwin Richardson Foods and Cara Hughes C’2003, vice president of Customer and Community for Baldwin Richardson Foods.

This sister power duo have leveraged their Spelman degree, their passion for entrepreneurship and their connections within the food industry to become the leaders of one of the largest Black-owned food manufacturing company in the nation. Tolefree and Hughes have worked together to expand their family-owned business and build on their father’s legacy while forging their own leadership path in the industry.
