Miss Southern A&M University 2005-2006 (13503 hits)


Sharika King is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana, was elected by the student body to reign as Miss Southern 2005-2006. A senior majoring in biology, she is the daughter of Fredrick and Debra Perry and Jamie and Debbie Riley.

King is a member of the Southern University Rotoract Club, Beta Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Beta Beta Beta, the National Honors’ Society for Biological Sciences and Alpha Mu Gamma-Foreign Languages Honor Society. She serves as campus executive director of Up 'Til Dawn, a collegiate fundraising program for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She is also a National Dean’s List Scholar, Collegiate Scholar and maintains scholarships from Louisiana Tuition Opportunity Program for Students and the SU Honors College.
