What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen was hosting the first ever girl conference in my hometown entitled "Queenin': I AM. I CAN. I WILL" I collaborated with health professionals and mothers who overcame teen pregnancy from our area and collectively we empowered young girls aged 12-18. Our main lesson was regardless of situations, circumstances, and stereotypes of being from the Mississippi Delta, they could overcome any obstacle in life. Too often I hear that I show that it does not matter where you come from or what college you attend, it is all about how you perform once you arrive. I figured what better way to give back than to go back along with other graduates from my high school and give tips to younger generations on how to excel beyond the Delta walls.
