Miss Rust College 2010-2011 (8440 hits)


Rust College congratulates Ms. Ereca King, who was elected Miss Rust for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Ms. King is a native of Pontotoc, Mississippi and is the daughter of Jeffrey and Kim King. King is a senior, majoring in political science/pre-law. She is president of the Rust College Pre-Law Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

During her time at Rust College, Ms. King has served as freshman class vice president and Miss Sophomore. She is a peer advisor, orientation workshop leader (O.W.L.) and she plays on the Lady Bearcats’ basketball and softball teams.

After graduation, Ms. King says she plans to attend Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi.

“My main goal in life is to become an outstanding woman dedicated to scholarship, service, and growth within my community,” says King. “With the pursuit of knowledge in mind at all times, I hope to conquer all potential endeavors and also help someone along the way. It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Ms. King also received honorable mentions for her academic service for the during the fall 2009 and spring 2010 semesters.
